What does "lifetime" really mean?
For as long as you own your home. If you sell, the warranty can transfer once to the new owner.
Does the warranty cover storm damage?
The warranty covers manufacturing defects — that's GAF's job. Storm damage is what your homeowners insurance is for. If a storm hits, call us first and we'll help you figure out what's covered where.
What's the difference between shingle and workmanship coverage?
Shingle coverage means GAF stands behind the materials. Workmanship coverage means GAF stands behind our installation. The upgraded warranties give you both.
Do I have to pick the top warranty to get a great roof?
Not at all. Every roof we install comes with strong baseline coverage. We'll walk through your options and help you pick what fits your home and budget — no pressure.
How much does the warranty cost?
The standard lifetime shingle warranty is included free. Upgrading to System Plus or Golden Pledge adds a small cost we build into your estimate. We'll show you the numbers upfront.
